Submitting a claim to the Court for possession

Bailiff Eviction

Warrant of Possession (County Court)

If the tenant doesn’t vacate the property after the time ordered by the court, instruct us to arrange for a county court bailiff to enforce the possession order and evict the tenant.

Managed

For landlords seeking a fully managed, hands-off eviction process, West Country Bailiffs offers a comprehensive service that handles everything from court paperwork to regaining possession on the day.

Acting as your representative, our professional eviction bailiffs oversee the entire process—drafting and filing court forms, completing risk assessments, securing the earliest eviction date, covering court fees through our account, and attending the eviction with Body Worn Video. We also arrange an accredited locksmith for access, document property condition with photos, take meter readings, secure the premises, affix a TORTS notice if required, and deliver new keys directly to you or your agent—ensuring a lawful, stress-free outcome from start to finish.

Writ of Possession (High Court)
Permission To Transfer Granted

If the tenant doesn’t vacate the property after the time ordered by the court and you have permission to transfer to the High Court, instruct us to arrange for a high court bailiff to enforce the possession order and evict the tenant.

If permission to transfer up your possession order to the high court has been granted, we will transfer the possession order through our HCEO to obtain a writ of possession and instruct high court bailiffs to carry out the eviction. In most instances, this is a faster process to eviction as high court enforcement officers are employed directly by West Country Bailiffs.

Writ of Possession (High Court)
Require Permission To Transfer

If the tenant doesn’t vacate the property after the time ordered by the court and you don’t have permission to transfer to the High Court, we will need to first apply for permission and then obtain a writ of possession from the High Court to allow our bailiffs to enforce the possession order and evict the tenant.

If you don't have permission to transfer to the High Court, we will first need to make the application to the County Court for permission. Once recevied, we will transfer the possession order through our HCEO to obtain a writ of possession and instruct high court bailiffs to carry out the eviction. In most instances, this is a faster process to eviction as high court enforcement officers are employed directly by Eviction Support Group.
